Automated System Instructions.

Please note: All boxes with an asterisk * are required.

Please have your pictures ready to upload from your computer before starting.  They must be no bigger than 800 x 600 pixels and must be JPEG format.

If you try to submit a picture that is too big (for example 2MB) the website will probably "time out" trying to upload your pictures and then you will not get taken though to the payment page and your pictures will not make it through to us.  If you do need to pay for a listing already submitted, CLICK HERE

A "time out" may also occur if you are using dial up internet or if you simply just take too long.  In that event, you may either start over, or email us your pictures (to customerservice@eventhomerentals.com ) and request an emailed invoice to pay. Any information you submitted before the time out should make it through to us.

In description boxes, use the return key to space out each different feature.

Listings will appear within 24 hours, as they have to be checked for spelling, grammar and inappropriate wording or pictures by our staff before approval.    We hope you understand that this has to be done to maintain the standards of our site and our reputation.

 
Page One 
1. We are only currently only offering Standard Listings, it is the only choice in the first box.
2. Choose your method of payment.  You may mail a cashiers check or money order, but your listing will not be added to the website until we have received the payment.  We do not take personal checks.  You can pay by credit card by selecting the Google Checkout / Credit Card option.  We recommend the Credit Card option as the fastest way to get your listing active.
3. Choose the Event you are listing for in the drop down box.  If your event is not listed, choose "other" and fill out the name of the event in the box below.
4. Choose a title for your listing, our advice is make it different to the others you see on the website and not too long.  Please make a note of your title in case you need to contact us about your listing.
5. Please put your contact information
5. The email address you enter is the email address that interested renters will be contacting you on.  If you do not wish to use your current personal email, we recommend opening a free email account with gmail or similar for this purpose.

 

 
Page Two
1. Enter the dates that home will be available.
2. Enter the total Square Footage of your Home (Only enter digits in this field, no commas).
3. Enter your price per day.  Please only enter digits in this field, no $ or commas, you may also write "negotiable" or similar, but as soon as you enter anything other than digits, no $ sign will automatically appear and it will no longer read "Price Per Day".
4. Most homes rent for 4 Days rather than a week, so we recommend at least 4, but you may enter as low as 1.
5. The distance from the venue should be entered as the number of miles (entered as the nearest WHOLE number). Please only enter digits in this field, no decimal points or fractions.
6.  If event tickets will be included in the rental package select "yes" from the drop down box.
7. If event tickets will be included in the rental package, enter description of tickets – such as number of tickets and seat location (section and row).
8.  If the property is in a neighborhood, enter neighborhood name.
9. Enter details of neighborhood and local area.
10. Enter names of nearby restaurants - where possible indicating distance from the property.
11. Enter nearby shopping - where possible indicating distance from the property.
12. Enter nearby attractions & places of interest - where possible indicating distance from the property.
 
Page Three
1.       Select property type from drop down box.
2.       Enter number of first floor bedrooms (main floor) or zero as this field is required.
3.       Enter number of second and third floor bedrooms were applicable.
4.       Repeat with Bathrooms.
5.       The number of each type of bed is required, so enter zero if you don’t have any.
6.       Enter number of fireplaces or zero.
7.       Enter location of fireplace(s) or leave blank.
 
Page Four
1.       If a car will be included in the rental package select “yes” from the drop down box.
2.       If a car is included, enter description, or leave blank.
3.       If a swimming pool will be available for use, select description, else select “no”.
4.       If Tennis Courts will be available for use, select description, else select “no”.
5.       Enter number of hot tubs or Jacuzzi tubs, or enter zero.
6.       Enter locations of hot tubs or Jacuzzi tubs.
7.       Enter total number of televisions or enter zero.
8.       Enter location of televisions.
9.       Enter other electronic equipment supplied.
10.   Enter brief description of patio, decks or other entertaining areas outside the house.
11.   "General Home Description" – This will be the opening paragraph of your page directly below the title.  Sum up the features to attract potential renters to look at the rest of your information.
12.   Enter any additional features NOT ALREADY LISTED ABOVE.
13. Enter any additional amenities NOT ALREADY LISTED ABOVE.
Page Five (Paypal payments only, if you are paying by money order or cashiers check go to page 6) Please note that only listings paid for with Paypal or credit card will appear within 24 hours of submitting.  If sending a money order or Cashiers Check, your listing will appear on receipt if your payment.
1.       If you already have a Paypal account, log into Paypal using the box on the right and pay. After the payment, you will be redirected to to the page to upload your pictures, - go to instructions for page 6.
2.       If you do not have a Paypal account and want to pay by credit card without opening a Paypal account, use the box on the left.
3.       You will then enter your credit card information and billing information into our secure server for charging.
4.       After payment has been completed, you will be redirected to the submission form to upload your pictures.
 
Page Six
1.       Use the browse box to find the picture file saved on your computer that you wish to upload.
2.       Remember that the form will only accept JPEG files 800 x 600 or smaller.
3.       Your first picture should be one of the outside of your home.  This will be the main picture.
4.       We suggest uploading the maximum 10 pictures.
5.       Try to include as many different pictures as possible, the idea of the pictures is to give potential renters a real idea of what your house looks like from all aspects.
6.       We have found that the homes with the most pictures , showing all the different areas of the house are most likely to be successful.

7. If you wish to bypass this page and go straight to the payment, you may.  You can email your pictures later to customerservice@eventhomerentals.com

Please email them 2 at a time and use your listing title as the email subject line so we know which listing they belong to.

 
Additional Help:

2.       Please check the above instructions and our F.A.Q. page before emailing your question.
3.       If you have submitted a listing and it is not showing within 24 hours, or you want to make a change to the wording on your page, send an email to the above email address with the subject line of your email as the listing name. If you do not include the name of your listing, it will take longer to make the changes to your page.
4.       If you had a problem uploading your pictures, or want make any changes to the pictures you have listed, send your pictures, 2 at a time to customerservice@eventhomerentals.com with the listing title as the email subject line and we will upload them for you.  This is a one time service.    
4.       Once your listing is live and you have had a chance to review it, you may email any changes you wish to make to customerservice@eventhomerentals.com with the listing title as the email subject line. This is a one time service, so please make sure you check it thoroughly and email all your changes at once.
